Welcome to PASSION, a groundbreaking, heart-centered project dedicated to bringing three evocative plays written by Larry Powell to life through live audio recordings in front of a captivated audience. These performances of three LA based plays, set to take place in Los Angeles, will be an immersive experience that blends storytelling, music, and community engagement in an innovative format.

Synopsis: A brilliant and unhoused acting student at the top conservatory finds refuge and acceptance in the Ballroom Scene by joining a formidable House.
Themes: Realness explores identity, acceptance, and resilience within the vibrant and challenging worlds of the Acting Conservatory Training Program and The Ballroom Scene.

Synopsis: A mourning recording artist meets an older man at a bar, leading to an unexpected, transformative night fighting for his life.
Themes: The Daddy Issue delves into themes of grief, connection, and the complexities of relationships in the Black Family Unit due to years of systemic inequities.

Synopsis: A pioneer of Black Gay Nightlife in Los Angeles faces the challenge of balancing mentorship and personal desires in his sixties.
Themes: This play examines the urgent need for intergenerational mentorship within the community and the conflicts that arise between personal desires and communal responsibilities.
