For thirty remarkable years, The Robey Theatre Company has been a griot of African American storytelling, enriching our community with compelling, magical, and provocative performances. As they celebrate this significant milestone, they look back with pride on the countless stories they’ve brought to life, the artists they’ve nurtured, and the audiences they’ve inspired.

On Saturday, November 16th, they invite you to a celebration at the Los Angeles Theatre Center, upscale attire requested. This free event is their THANK YOU to the artists, designers, technicians, audiences, and supporters who have contributed to their success over the years. RSVP is required to attend. Please RSVP to [email protected]. Here’s what they have planned for this special evening:

• 7–8 PM: Join them in the lobby for live music, cocktails, wine, and their delightful rum punch. Light hors d’oeuvres will be served.

• 8 PM: Welcome remarks Ben and Danny, followed by a screening of In A Constant Rage a film by Jermaine Alexander, about Robey’s 30-year journey, in Theatre 2.

• 10 PM: Post-screening festivities continue with a charcuterie selection, dessert, more music, and dancing.

The night will be a beautiful tribute to their past and a celebration of what lies ahead. They look forward to honoring Robey’s legacy and sharing this memorable evening with you.
