Star Stone Swell

Written & Performed by Carene Rose Mekertichyan

The ancestors request your presence at this communion in three acts. Through poetry and music rooted in Black Armenianness, STAR STONE SWELL reimagines the divine feminine and uplifts the agelessness of being in one’s… “prime” through the forgotten lives of theatre performers Fredi Washington and Siranush. Embracing the duality of survival and loss is what binds us together and gifts us the freedom “to be”.

iambic lab 2025!

This year, they’re climbing up to what Shakespeare calls the “heaven of invention”. Through readings of new plays, workshops designed to set your imagination alight, and discussions with artists currently developing works, you’ll find yourself right in the middle of the messy, joyful, confounding creative process.

They’re delighted to be partnering with organizations and individuals across the Los Angeles theater community to bring you a wide range of events and experiences: attend as many of the events as you like. They can’t wait to see you!
