A Workshop Led by Bruce Lemon, Jr. & Jessica Hanna

Join LA theatre makers Bruce Lemon Jr and Jessica Hanna as they explore collaboration, inspiration, and creation. Inspiring each other to live in practice of our craft and try some new shit. This could be the seed of a new work or the birth of a new creative relationship or just something you’re doing this afternoon. You will leave the workshop with some inspiration, fuel in your tank, and connections to other artists.

Come prepared with:

• 5 lines of text memorized and ready to play with (Shakespeare or other playwrights are all good, just must be text written for the stage)
• A short song that you can sing easily (anything, it does not have to be fancy. “Row Row Row Your Boat” is awesome!)
• Clothing that you can move in and we will be barefoot

This year, they’re climbing up to what Shakespeare calls the “heaven of invention”. Through readings of new plays, workshops designed to set your imagination alight, and discussions with artists currently developing works, you’ll find yourself right in the middle of the messy, joyful, confounding creative process.

They’re delighted to be partnering with organizations and individuals across the Los Angeles theater community to bring you a wide range of events and experiences: attend as many of the events as you like. They can’t wait to see you!
