Lower Depth Theatre’s Juneteenth Jamboree

Each year, Lower Depth Theatre celebrates the federal holiday, Juneteenth. Their annual celebration is a jamboree for the whole family. Together, they honor African American history, heritage, and freedom.
Programming will include food, music, dancing, crafting, quilting, storytelling, and a the return of a reading of the Juneteenth-inspired 10-minute play, Abolitionist Biscuits, written by multi-medium writer, T. Tara Turk-Haynes!
At their Jamboree, magnetic personalities lead everyone through an electrifying evening. Their widely acclaimed headliners from previous years have included LA-based African dance company, Le Ballet Dembaya, and African Drum Circle Leader, CHAZZ, to name a few. Each jamboree is a unique and captivating musical, cultural, and historical journey.
