Oshana Arts and Mildred Langford present a staged reading performance of Dominique Morisseau’s CONFEDERATES directed by Kamal Bolden, at The Willie Agee Playhouse.

This play by Two-time Tony Award Nominee and MacArthur genius award–winner, Dominique Morisseau, leaps through time to trace the identities of two brilliant Black women and explores the reins that racial and gender bias still hold on American systems today.

Our Post Show Discussion Guest, Jody David Armour, is the Roy P. Crocker Professor of Law at the University of Southern California. His book Negrophobia and Reasonable Racism: The Hidden Costs of Being Black in America (New York University Press) addresses three core concerns of the Black Lives Matter movement—namely, racial profiling, police brutality, and mass incarceration. Armour often appears as a legal analyst on NBC, CBS, ABC, MSNBC, LAist, KCRW, and a variety of other television and radio news programs.
