Juneteenth Jamboree 2024
Join Lower Depth Theatre in celebrating Juneteenth at their 4th annual Jamboree, a family-friendly event showcasing African American culture. Partnering with Boston Court Pasadena, this indoor celebration will feature music, performances, and more. Together, we honor African American history, heritage, and freedom.
At our Jamboree, magnetic personalities lead us through an electrifying evening. This year, our widely acclaimed headliners include LA-based African dance company, Le Ballet Dembaya! Programming also includes a the dynamic storytelling of Gerald C. Rivers, a drum circle led by master of the music arts, Chazz Ross, reading of a Juneteenth-inspired 10-minute play “Abolitionist Biscuits,” written by the ever-talented multi-medium writer, T.Tara Turk-Haynes!
Attendees can also enjoy delicous tacos, a kids crafts table, a quilting activity, a general store, and much more!
Each jamboree is a unique and captivating musical, cultural, and historical journey.
